The Struggle Continues: The Gun Debate

On March 26, the Freedom Museum will host two of the nation's foremost experts on gun rights for an exciting and informative debate on gun control. Robert Levy, Chairman of the Cato Institute, and Dennis Henigan, Vice President of Law and Policy at the Brady Center, will square off in the inaugural installment of our new series The Struggle Continues.

To get the discussion started, please take a moment to take our poll on Chicago's gun laws, and for a preview of the discussion, take a look at this issue of Cato Unbound discussing the Heller Supreme Court decision regarding Washington D.C.'s gun laws. Both Mr. Levy and Mr. Henigan contributed to the issue.

  1. All guns can be taken away from hunters & target shooters, but the gang-bangers would still be armed & dangerous.

  2. There's never yet been a law that will stop someone bent on breaking the law from owning a gun. The only people affected are law abiding citizens.
